New Delhi: JBM Auto on Tuesday bagged order for 700 BS-VI- compliant AC low-floor CNG buses from the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC). The company will supply 700 CITYLIFE BS-VI buses in the coming financial year, the company said in a release.
Operated by DIMTS, the JBM CITYLIFE buses are running on Delhi roads. With the addition of 700 buses by DTC, these buses will cover 20 routes and cater to about 50 million passengers in a year.
According to JBM, its buses are equipped with all modern features like 4G chip, smart card ticketing system, real-time passenger information system (PIS), Intelligent Transport Management System (ITMS), automatic bus vehicle location system, CCTV cameras, public address system and stop request buttons, and wheelchair ramp.
JBM CITYLIFE bus incorporates other utility features including Vehicle Health Monitoring System, Fire Detection & Suppression System, Intelligent Transport Management System (ITMS), etc.
The buses also have features like electronic braking system, CCTV cameras, public address system and kneeling mechanism, wherein the bus kneels 60 mm towards the passengers’ door side to facilitate boarding and alighting of senior citizens, children and the specially-abled.
The ergonomically-designed dashboard provides an intuitive and user-friendly system that allows drivers to concentrate on driving without distractions. This makes the bus a truly global product.
