If you are regular around here then you know that we really dig the Southeast Gassers Association. I mean, what’s not to love? Big rpm, big burnouts, wheelstands, gear banging shifts, and heads up racing action make this series something truly special. Lucky for you, our friend Tommy Lee Byrd, aka the Hot Rod Hoarder, was on hand and shooting video because he got some really special stuff. Video Description:
The Southeast Gassers Association defies the odds against a nasty weather forecast and finishes the 2025 race at Brainerd Motorsports Park. The action was hot on the track at noon, and we saw a killer selection of A/Gas, B/Gas, C/Gas, H/Gas, A/FX and Super Stock cars blasting down the historic eighth mile track. Brainerd Motorsports Park has been around for more than 60 years at this facility, and nearly 70 years all together, so it’s a fitting place to see these period correct gassers do battle.
Check out some wild passes, and some BAD FAST laser straight passes, and lots of high-revving burnouts. This is NOT a comprehensive video of all the day’s action. I was shooting pictures for Hemmings, so I didn’t video every pass. Be sure to check out @SoutheastGassersAssociation for full coverage in the coming days.
