BangShift.com Ian Johnson’s Willys Wagon Is Going To Be One Awesome Ride. Check Out The Progress Right Here.

We started sharing the videos from Ian Johnson’s Willys Wagon build last week because its a project we really like the direction on. This thing will be a family wheeling machine, but is being built with straight forward bulletproof parts that make it reliable, capable, and fun. But the other thing we like about it is what we’ll call the “hot rod” factor. Ian is building this thing with a bit of a nod toward the hot rod world, both in the way some of the fabrication is done and in the way some features are being laid out in it. But not at the expense of fun and capable wheeling, which is why we dig it. In all honesty, this is the kind of rig we think most people would really want to have in their driveway. The kind they can throw the family in and go have some fun, without it being uncomfortable and annoying for the kids or the wife. There is no reason you can’t have your cake and eat it too nowadays.

Of course that is totally possible with a new rig as well, but I know I’m with Ian when he says he doesn’t want to buy a $40,000 Jeep to then go spend a ton of money on to make it wheel this good. Oh and did I forget to mention this little bastard is going to be diesel powered? Yeah, check it out. This is going to be cool as hell.
