NEW DELHI: Classic Legends on Friday launched the 2021 Jawa Forty Two starting at Rs 1,83,942 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The 293-cc liquid-cooled, fuel injected engine delivers 27.33 PS of power and 27.02 Nm of torque. It’s the first single-cylinder engine to utilize cross port technology which increases the volumetric efficiency of the engine enabling better flow of charge and exhaust gases and better power and torque output.
Jawa 42 carries forward the standard ‘retro cool’ revolution of Jawa giving classic sports look to the motorcycle. The new 42 rides on 13-spoke alloy wheels, developed specifically for the motorcycle, shod with tubeless tyres. It is further accentuated by the bar-end mirrors, all finished in black, also comes equipped with a trip meter now.
Jawa has upgraded the seat which elevates the rider comfort over, with a redesigned seat pan and cushioning that translates to enjoyable rides. The suspension and frame set-up has been re-tuned for better ground clearance and better ride and handling characteristics, the company claims.
Jawa Forty Two competes with the likes of Honda H’ness CB350 and Royal Enfield Classic 350.
