NewDelhi: Auto giant Tata Motors Vice President, sales and marketing of Commercial vehicle division RT Wasan quit the company on Thursday.
He resigned from the company after working with it for about 28 years. During his stint, Wasan spearheaded the commercial vehicle segment of the company and played a crucial role in developing popular models in the mini-truck segment and the pickup segments which includes Tata ACE and Tata Intra.
“After 28 years I bid farewell to Tata Motors, a company that has given me everything possible … made me what I am today and I am most grateful. It has been a truly memorable journey, I have had so many wonderful opportunities to learn, to contribute and be a part of so many amazing successes that will always remain etched in my mind forever,” Wasan said in a LinkedIn post.
In the early years with Tata Motors he was appointed at the company’s Dharwad plant in Karnataka which is a dedicated facility for manufacturing small commercial vehicles. However, Tata Motors has not come out with any official announcement regarding the resignation yet.
In social media post,Wasan further mentioned that he is taking a short break before proceed with the next chapter of his professional career. “… something that I am super excited about and am eagerly looking forward to another engaging, enriching innings. Will be updating the status very soon,” he added.
